On 5th February 2026, DES Murlidhar Lohia Matru Mandir organized a Market Day on the school premises, providing students with a practical learning experience of vegetable buying and selling. The school campus was beautifully transformed into a vegetable market with colourful vegetable cut-outs, children’s vegetable printing activities, price charts, and attractive displays. The formal opening of the Market Day was carried out jointly by Mr. Anand Katikar Sir, Secretary of DES, and Adv. Sau. Rajshri Thakkar Madam, Chairperson of the school. 

Senior KG students played the role of vendors, while Junior KG students participated as customers. Children used play currency from a teacher-made ATM, practiced bargaining, and learned the value of money and real-life market transactions. The use of cloth bags instead of plastic bags was also encouraged. The event was conducted successfully under the guidance of Headmistress Mrs. Madhuri Barve Ma'am and was enjoyed by all.
