The May vacation has ended, and the new academic year has started today, June 16, 2025. It was also celebrated with a bang at Muralidhar Lohia Matrumandir. The teachers welcomed the students to the new academic year with the sound of drums. Chanting "Jai Bhavani, Jai Shivaji", teachers gave the message that the students should set the example of Shivaji Maharaj in front of them.  On this occasion, some students dressed up as the eminent people who were the founders of the D.E.S., such as 'Gopal Ganesh Agarkar', 'Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak', and 'Vishnu Shastri Chiplunkar', among others. Along with this, Agnihotra was traditionally lit in the school premises, and offerings were also made in that Agnihotra. The atmosphere was very happy due to that offering and the chanting of mantras. A garland of gandha was also applied to all the students. On this occasion, the school principal, Mrs. Madhuri Barve, addressed the parents and told them how great and rich in scriptures our traditions are. As the students entered, the parents and students who came with them bowed to the Havan Kunda. Some also offered offerings in it. On this occasion, the school committee chairman, Mrs. Rajshree Thakar Madam, was also present. After this, all the children went to their respective classes.
